Gide finishes in Top 10 at Darton

Fort Valley State University (FVSU) freshman Bsrat Gide finished tenth out of a field of 52 runners in the Darton College Cross Country Invitational on September 19, 2009. Gide completed the 8K run with an impressive time of 30:29:59.
Along with Gide, three other Wildcat runners competed in the competition. Junior John Williams finished in the 27th position with a course time of 33:02:81. Quartez Strickland, also a junior, finished the race at 35:40:56 and placed 37th. And Keon Melson's time of 37:21:47 placed him 42nd in the event.
The FVSU Cross Country Teams (women and men) take to the trail again on September 26, 2009 when they participate in the Morehouse College Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia.
