Fort Valley State University (FVSU) tennis players Dwayne White and Kevin Oliver, Jr. highlight the list of Wildcats selected to the 2010 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) All-Conference Tennis Team.
White, a freshman, and Oliver, a sophomore, were selected to the SIAC All-Conference First Team in doubles. They join Tory Martin and Ben Seagle of Morehouse College and Jeshua Irazabal and Felipe Farias of Stillman College in the first team doubles selection.
The FVSU doubles team of Drew Belk and Brandon Pringle also received conference honors with their selection as SIAC All-Conference Second Team. Belk, a junior, and Pringle, a sophomore, join the two doubles teams from Tuskegee University (Marko Jagodie & Miles Narnor and David Mohammaed & Kudzai Sithole) in the second team selection.
The Wildcats were represented on the SIAC All-Academic Tennis Team as well. Oliver, a biology major, and sophomore Governor Henderson, also a biology major, were selected to the All-Academic Team with grade point averages of 3.72 and 3.52, respectively.
For the Lady Wildcats, sophomore Roberta Robinson was the lone representative on All-Conference Teams. The Fort Valley, Georgia native garnered two honors with her selection to the First Team All-Conference and the All-Academic Teams. Robinson is a mass communications major with a 3.52 grade point average.
