FVSU Athletics

With the lone match of the week, Rita Davis of the volleyball team helped the Wildcats to a victory and earned the FVSU Female Athlete of the Week honor for Sept. 16-22. In the 3-0 victory over Savannah State, Rita started the match-deciding set by serving the first five points for a 5-0 FVSU lead. She also had five set assists and an ace in the third set. For the match, Davis posted 22 assists, five digs, three aces, a kill and one block assist.
