For the first time this fall fall, a repeat winner, football's Demetrius Harris, earned a Wildcats Athlete of the Week honor for Oct. 13-19. Just two weeks ago, Harris, a defensive end, garnered the same award for his effort at Florida Tech only to better the effort last Saturday against Morehouse College. In the game, Harris posted 7 total tackles, 4.5 sacks for 22 yards, 5 tackles for loss of 24 yards, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery he returned for a 22-yd touchdown and two quarterback hurries. He was part of a FVSU defensive unit to record the lowest total yards allowed in over two years of 178, gave up only two field goals, while it sacked the Morehouse quarterback 11 times and took down 18 ball carriers behind the line of scrimmage. Harris now leads all of NCAA Division II in sacks (1.52 per game) and forced fumbles (0.57 per game).
