As part of the first Wildcats Athletes of the Week in January, Taziha Fanning of women's basketball punctuates her breakthrough week with the honor. The freshman forward posted her 2 highest point totals of the year and first double-double in FVSU's 1-1 week. Taz averaged 20.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. Against Carver, she made season-best 9 field goals in 11 shots for 22 points to go with 6 rebounds, an assist and one block. Fanning followed up the performance by cleaning the glass with the most single-game rebound effort of 20 to go with 18 points on 7-of-10 field goals, three blocks and three steals against Savannah State.
