Fort Valley, GA - For the fifth consecutive year, the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Girls and Boys Basketball Quarterfinals will be held in the Fort Valley State University Health & Physical Education (HPE) Complex. This year, the two-day tournament will take place on March 4th and 5th and will feature girls and boys action from the state's two highest classifications, 4A & 5A.
A total of eight quarterfinal games will be played over the two-day tournament in the HPE Arena. On Friday (March 4th), girls and boys teams from the 4A classification will play for the right to advance to the semifinals. On Saturday (March 5th), girls and boys games from the 5A classification will take place.
The GHSA quarterfinals have been held at Fort Valley State University (FVSU) since 2007. In 2009, the GHSA and FVSU extended the agreement to have the quarterfinals played in the HPE Complex for another three years. Opened in 2004, the HPE Arena seats 5,053.

For the student-athletes, schools and their supporters, these quarterfinal games represent life-long memories.
