BIRMINGHAM, AL (March 2, 2015) – This marked the second meeting between Fort Valley State and Miles College this season with the Lady Wildcats winning game one at home. The Lady Bears made it count when need be by knocking Fort Valley State out of the SIAC Championship Tournament with a 78-67 victory in Birmingham, AL at the Bill Harris Arena on Monday afternoon.
FVSU went to half down 23-35 while shooting 21.9 percent from the floor for the half (7-32), 28.6 percent from behind the arc (2-7) and 63.6 percent at the free throw line (7-11). For the game, FVSU made 24-of-65 baskets for 36.9 percent shooting, hit 3-0f-15 three pointers and 16-of-24 foul shots for 66.7 percent.
Miles hit 12-of-28 shots for 42.9 percent and made 9-of-13 foul shot for 69.2 percent in the first half. They shot 39.7 percent for the game from the field and 69.8 percent at the free throw line (30-of-43).

Brittnee Hazel (Loganville) led the Lady Wildcats with a double-double 21-point and a game-high 11 rebounds. She made 7-of-12 baskets and sank 7-of-10 free throws, while blocking six shots. Senior point guard

Antionna Jefferson (Opelika, AL) added 8-points each and red-shirt junior guard
Tonisha Wilson (Douglas, GA) and junior guard
Iyuna Dugger (Decatur, GA) pumped in 7 points apiece.
Ebony Mcneill and Porshia Blue led Miles with 24 and 20 points apiece and Asia Anchrum grabbed 8 boards.
