FVSU Women’s Basketball Hosts Clark Atlanta for ‘Senior Night’

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats cap their regular season and one where they have posted more wins than the last two combined. Fort Valley State women's basketball host Clark Atlanta Tuesday night for 'Senior Night' in the regular season finale.

The Wildcats (13-12/9-7 SIAC East) seek to give their six seniors one final home win in the HPE Complex. These six seniors of Nola Carter, Alicia Franklin, Alexia Green, Amiah Height, Jalin Moye and Ashley Bearden look to send FVSU to its first winning season with a victory Tuesday night. With a win against Clark Atlanta, FVSU clinches its first above .500 campaign since the program was 15-13 in the 2012-13 season.
 
The six Wildcats seniors have amassed 2,667 points, 1,639 rebounds and 482 assists the past four seasons. Both Carter and Franklin have eclipsed the 1,000-point career mark this season and both average over 10.5 points per game in their 201 combined career contests.
 
FVSU and Clark Atlanta (7-18/5-11 SIAC East) both suffered losses at Savannah State in their last two games. The Panthers fell 80-77 last Thursday, while the Wildcats tripped up by an 83-67 final.
 
FVSU edged Clark Atlanta by a 76-68 overtime final score on Jan. 11 in Atlanta. The Wildcats also pulled out a 62-56 victory in the last game played in the HPE Complex last Groundhog's Day on Feb. 2, 2019.
