FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Fort Valley State University Department of Athletics lent a helping hand during a community food drive hosted by the FVSU Head Start Program.

Coaches, staff, and student-athletes came together at the Child Development Center on Friday, June 13, 2025, to support the initiative put together by Columbus Alderman. The Wildcats assisted with setup, packed bags, and helped distribute non-perishable food items to community members in a quick and efficient drive-thru format.

The event aimed to provide essential food supplies to those in need, reinforcing FVSU's commitment to service and community outreach.

The FVSU Head Start Program offers early learning, care, and enrichment experiences for children from birth to age five.
