ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) recognized the 2024-25 All-Academic Teams on Wednesday morning, with 33 Fort Valley State University student-athletes receiving academic honors.
The accolades began with the Commissioner's All-Academic Team, awarded to student-athletes who earned a GPA of 3.4 or higher.
FVSU Football had three athletes honored:
FVSU Men's Cross Country had one athlete honored:
FVSU Women's Cross Country had two athletes honored:
FVSU Women's Volleyball had two athletes honored:
FVSU Women's Basketball had three athletes honored:
- Kimora Wade, an animal science/agriculture major with a 3.88 GPA
- Julia Baker, a business administration major with a 3.61 GPA
FVSU Men's Tennis had one athlete honored:
FVSU Women's Tennis had two athletes honored:
FVSU Men's Volleyball had two athletes honored:
- Jaequon Henderson, a family and consumer science major with a 3.71 GPA
- Jamil Scott, an agricultural engineering technology major with a 3.68 GPA
FVSU Men's Track & Field had six athletes honored:
FVSU Women's Track & Field had six athletes honored:
FVSU Softball had three athletes honored:
- Jennifer Ramirez, a pre-health and physical education major with a 4.0 GPA
- Rylie Youngblood, an elementary and special education major with a 4.0 GPA
- Laila Leverette, a middle grades education major with a 3.74 GPA
The SIAC also announced the All-Academic Teams, which recognize student-athletes with a GPA of 3.2 or higher. Team selections are based on roster size and include ties where applicable.
