FORT VALLEY, Ga- During last week's final men's basketball home game of the season, FVSU Athletics paused to recognize the leadership and service of President Paul A. Jones, Ph.D., as he prepares for retirement.
In a special tribute during the game, each Wildcat athletic team took a moment to honor President Jones for his continued support of student athletes and the University's athletic programs. Led by Athletic Director Daphnie Johnson, each coach and player from every team then presented him with a gift of appreciation, symbolizing their gratitude.
Anthony Holloman, Ed.D., commissioner of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, also attended the game and offered remarks recognizing Jones' impact. Commissioner Holloman commended President Jones for his leadership, dedication to student-athletes, and contributions to the continued growth and success of athletics within the SIAC.
