The FVSU director returns to the head coaching ranks where he spent 10 seasons (2008-19) as the South Carolina State University women’s basketball head coach. While leading S.C. State, Robertson reached the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship in his second season (2009-10) and recorded his best year during the 2012-13 season where the team finished 20-9.

The Baltimore, Md., native also spent time in the NCAA Division II ranks in the Central Collegiate Athletic Association as the head women’s basketball for Bowie State. He directed the program from 2005-08 where he compiled a 53-33 record, including a 22-5 mark and the Eastern Division Championship and Coach of the Year Honors in 2007-08.

Robertson had an earlier stint on the same Bowie State staff as an assistant (1994-99), where he helped the program to a 126-19 mark, three-straight CIAA titles and four trips to the NCAA Division II tournament.

Following his second tenure at Bowie State, Robertson logged five seasons (2000-05) as an assistant at Delaware State during a stretch when the Lady Hornets reached the MEAC tournament final three times and captured the regular-season title once (2004). The long-time coach also served a stint as an assistant at St. John’s University (1999-2000) for a season in Jamaica, N.Y.

Robertson earned a bachelor’s from Bowie State in 1995. He is a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
