Savannah Battle joined the Fort Valley State University women’s volleyball staff as an assistant coach, bringing more than a decade of experience in athlete development, program leadership and competitive volleyball. A former collegiate player and experienced educator, Battle has built her coaching career around developing technically sound, confident and disciplined student-athletes both on and off the court.

Before arriving at FVSU, Battle coached at Shaw High School, Calvary Christian School and Arnold Magnet Academy. At Shaw, she assisted with in-game strategy and player development while helping the program earn a region runner-up finish and a Sweet 16 appearance. She was also recognized among the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s 2026 “Thirty Under 30” honorees.

Battle is the co-founder and owner of Georgia Ace Volleyball Club, where she has helped build a competitive program that has earned multiple gold, silver and bronze finishes. Through the club, she has helped athletes develop the skills, volleyball knowledge and confidence necessary to pursue opportunities at the collegiate level.

Her previous coaching experience also includes serving as an assistant and freshman coach at Eau Gallie High School and as the head coach of a Unified Special Olympics volleyball program. She founded the Special Olympics program, guided the team to a gold medal and received the Most Inspirational Coach Award for her leadership and commitment to the athletes.

As a student-athlete, Battle competed in both indoor and beach volleyball at Eastern Florida State College, where she earned All-Academic Team recognition and was named to the Dean’s and President’s Lists. She later served as a student assistant with the Valdosta State University volleyball program.

Battle earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Valdosta State University and an Associate of Arts from Eastern Florida State College.

Her coaching philosophy is centered on discipline, effort, respect and accountability. She strives to create a positive but challenging environment in which student-athletes improve their skills, strengthen their volleyball IQ, become dependable teammates and develop the confidence and resilience needed for success beyond the court.
