In anticipation of predicted inclement weather on Monday (Jan. 10th) in the middle Georgia area, tomorrow's scheduled basketball contests (women & men) between Fort Valley State University (FVSU) and Claflin University have been postponed.
According to FVSU Athletic Director Percy Caldwell, “After reviewing available weather reports for our area, consulting with the university's administration and through dialogue with Claflin University representatives, it was decided that postponing the games would be in the best interest of safety for our student-athletes and fans. The early decision to postpone was also made based on travel considerations for the Claflin University teams.”
Since the games are Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests, they will have to be made up. The rescheduled date for the games will be announced at a later date.
