As host institution of the 2012 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II South Regional Play-offs, the Department of Athletics at Rollins University has announced the tip-off times for first round games to be played on Friday, March 9th. Tournament action will begin with the number three seed Lady Wildcats of Fort Valley State University (FVSU) verses the number six seed Lady Blazers of Valdosta State University (VSU) in the Warden Arena. Tip-off between the only two Georgia schools in the region tournament is slated for 12 p.m.
This will be the second time the schools will meet in first round play. Despite a gallant second half comeback by FVSU in 2009, the Lady Blazers held on to claim a 50-49 win. Other first round games and start times are as follows:
Game #2: Florida Southern vs. Florida Tech (2:30 p.m.)
Game #3: Rollins vs. West Alabama (5 p.m.)
Game #4: Alabama-Huntsville vs. Delta State (7:30 p.m.)
