Box Score 1 MACON, GA (October 19, 2013) – In a tri-match on yesterday, the Fort Valley State University Lady Wildcats defeated Rust College in a 3-0 win (25-10, 25-19, 25-19), but fell to host team Wesleyan College 0-3 (13-25, 19-25, 14-25) at Porter Gymnasium.

FVSU overall record is 8-20 and Rust record 2-18 and Wesleyan record improves to 6-13.

Briana Shepherd led the Lady Wildcats with a double-double of 20 kills, 13 digs, 2 assist and 4 aces, while Megan Archie had 20 digs and 7 digs. Karli Brown led the team with 47 assist in two games while adding 14 digs.

V. Jones led Rust with 11 assist and Malae Fiaseu for Wesleyan had 11 kills and Chermaine Johnson 10 kills and 11 digs.

FVSU will be back in action on October 26 as they play another tri-match in Tuscaloosa, AL with LeMoyne-Owen College at 1 pm and Stillman College at 3 pm.
