FVSU LADY WILDCATS DROPPED AN 81-69 CONTEST TO COLUMBUS STATE

Box Score COLUMBUS, GA (NOVEMBER 15, 2013) – The Fort Valley State University Lady Wildcats could not keep the paceup as they fell to Columbus State University 81-69 on Friday, November 15 at Lumpkin Center.

The Lady Wildcats overall record is 0-3 and Columbus State 1-0.

Senior forward Shytina Harley (Tampa, FL) led the Lady Wildcats in scoring and rebounding with 16 points and 7 boards. She hit 6-of-13 shots from the field and made4-of-5 free throws and blocked 2 shots. Senior forward Briana Shepherd (Birmingham, AL) in her first game back after playing volleyball added 14 points, while going 8-for-10 at the foul line. Junior guard D'Ambria Thomas (Pelham, GA) and junior guard Davina High (Atlanta, GA) pumped in 11 and 10 points apiece. Junior guard Antionna Jefferson (Opelika, AL) dished out 5 assist.

Chattel Bradford led Columbus State in scoring with 21 points and Carrie Washington grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.

The next game for FVSU is Tuesday, November 19, 2013 as they host North Georgia College at the HPE Complex. Game time is scheduled for 6 pm.
