The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced the brackets for the 2013 SIAC Basketball Tournament which will be held from February 25^th – March 2^nd in the Forbes Arena on the Morehouse College campus. Fort Valley State University (FVSU) will begin tournament play on Monday, February 25^th when the Lady Wildcats of FVSU meet the Lady Dragons of Lane College.

The Lady Wildcats enter the tournament seeded fourth in the East Division and will play the fifth seed Lady Dragons of the West Division at 1 p.m.  The winner of the first round match up will advance to the quarterfinals on Wednesday, February 27^th and play the number one team from the West Division, Tuskegee University at 5:30 p.m.  The first round game between FVSU and Lane College will be their second meeting of the year.  FVSU defeated the Lady Dragons on January 3, 2013, 101-54.

In men's action, FVSU will begin first round tournament play on Tuesday, February 26^th at 4:30 p.m. when they meet the Thorobreds of Kentucky State University.  The Wildcats finished the season ranked sixth in the East Division and the Thorobreds finished ranked third in the West.  Tuesday's match up will be the second meeting of the school's this season.  FVSU won an earlier contest on January 5, 2013, 76-64.
 
The winner of the FVSU/KSU game will advance to the quarterfinals on Thursday, Feb.28^th and take on the number two seed Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College at 3:15.m.
