FORT VALLEY, GA (January 5, 2015) – Four Wildcat players put up double digits for Fort Valley State (0-9; 0-2) in 73-71 overtime loss to Kentucky State University last night at the HPE Complex.

Derrick Spear (Atlanta, GA) led the Wildcats with a game-high 19 points. Spears went 7-of-18 from the field, made two 3-pointers, 5 rebounds, 2 assist and had 2 steals. Senior point guard
Desmond Lofland (Augusta, GA) grabbed a team high 6 rebound, scored 10 points and hit 4-of-5 free throws. Junior center
Ralph Wilson (Americus, GA) and junior guard
Kenneth Harper (Detroit, MI) added 15 and 10 points.
Ulysses Thomas III led KSU with 18-points and Derrien Wilkens 11 rebounds.
The Wildcats made 27-of-72 shots from the floor for 37.5 percent shooting on the night, while going hitting 4-of-15 three's and 13-of-21 at the free throw line for 61.9 percent.
KSU shot 43.3 percent from the field (26-of-60), 57.1 percent in 3-pointers and 68.4 percent at the foul line (13-of-19).
Both teams grabbed 43 rebounds apiece, but KSU, but KSU dished out 22 assist to FVSU's 12.

th to play Spring Hill College, Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL on Saturday, January 10
th, and over to Tuskegee, AL to play Tuskegee University on Monday, January 12
th. The Lady Wildcats return home to host Miles College (Fairfield, AL) on January 15
th at 6 p.m.
