FORT VALLEY, GA – Maya Stewart led the Lady Wildcats in volleyball with 15 kills as Fort Valley State dropped a five set match to Paine College 3-2 (26-24, 17-25, 25-10, 22-25, 8-15) at the Health and Physical Education Complex (HPE) on Fort Valley State's campus.
 
Alana Joseph added seven kills, two service aces and five digs, while Ashaunti Brown had six kills, one assist, one service ace and three digs, Ayauna Ellis chipped in five kills and Justice Stegall added four kills.  Rita Davis led the team with 30 assists and eight digs, while Ashley Simmons Blair had 10 digs.
 
Lanica Phillips led the Lady Lions with 11 kills and four digs.
 
The Lady Wildcats will leave for South Carolina on Monday, October 23 to play Claflin University and Benedict College on Tuesday, October 24 before returning home. Both games are slated for 6 pm.
