Nola Carter led the Lady Wildcats of Fort Valley State with a double-double 18-points and 12 rebounds in the 78-48 loss to Georgia Southwestern University Saturday night at the Storm Dome.
The Lady Wildcats overall record is 0-5 and Georgia Southwestern record increase to 2-1 on the season.
Carter scored on 5-of-14 shots from the field, hit 8-of-11 free throws and dished out three assists.
Alicia Franklin added 12-points and six rebounds while making 4-of-6 foul shots.
Gabby Figgers scored 18-points for GSW and Amanda Melosky grabbed nine boards and 12-points.
FVSU made 15-of-50 shots from the floor and chipped in 17-of-27 free throws. The Wildcats grabbed 34 rebounds to GSW's 40 for the game.
FVSU will be back in action on Tuesday, November 21 as they play the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Ga. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
