FORT VALLEY, GA – Alicia Franklin scored 19-points and pulled down five rebounds with three steals as the Fort Valley University Women's Basketball Team fell 51-59 to Tuskegee University Saturday at the HPE Complex on Fort Valley State's campus.
With the loss, the Lady Wildcats fell to 0-13 and 0-4 in SIAC action, while Tuskegee improves to 2-8 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Nola Carter was the only FVSU player to score a double-double with 10 rebounds and 15-points.
Tuskegee was led by Jade Wilson who scored a double-double 12-points and 11 rebounds. Taylor Miller recorded 13-points for the Lady Tigers.
FVSU shot 31.3 percent from the field and 54.8 percent from the charity stripe while Tuskegee shot 28.8 percent from the floor and 50 percent from the free-throw line.
FVSU outscored Tuskegee 20-18 in the paint and 8-2 off fast breaks as the Lady Tigers pulled down 48 rebounds to FVSU's 41.
The Lady Wildcats will not play again until December 30
th when they travel to Memphis, Tn., to play LeMoyne-Owen College at 5:30 p.m.
