FORT VALLEY, GA – The Fort Valley State University women's basketball team will head down to Albany, Georgia on Saturday, February 18 to play the Lady Rams of Albany State University for their final Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) game and regular season game before heading to Birmingham, Alabama. The game is scheduled for 6 pm. ASU defeated the Lady Wildcats 79-71 in their last meeting on February 4 in Fort Valley. The Lady Wildcats are looking to bounce back and get in the win column as they head to Bill Harris Arena in Birmingham for the SIAC Basketball Championship Tournament on February 27 through March 4, 2017.
The Lady Wildcats overall record is 7-16 and 6-8 in SIAC conference play, while being ranked third in the SIAC East Division standing.

Shekiya Tarpkins leads FVSU and the SIAC in scoring with 19.0 PPG, as well as the Lady Wildcats leading rebounder with 7.7 RPG and 2.6 assist per game. Freshman point guard
Daknequa White backs up Tarpkins with her 15.1 PPG and 2.5 assist per game, and senior center
Briunca Caldwell follows with 7.1 RPG and 8.5 PPG.
