Box Score JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Lady Wildcats of Fort Valley State (0-2) fell in volleyball to the Lady Tigers of Edward Waters (5-1) 0-3 (12-25, 20-25, 16-25) this afternoon. FVSU went to Jacksonville after coming off a loss to Middle Georgia State while Edward Waters came into the match off a win over Southern University.
 
Senior Outside Hitter Maya Stewart led the Lady Wildcats with eight kills while adding two solo blocks, Sophomore Libero Ashley Simmons-Blair led all players with 18 digs and Sophomore Setter Rita Davis led the team with 15 assists.
 
Kaylin Davison led the Lady Tigers with 12 kills.
 
The next match for FVSU is Thursday, September 7, at home against Wesleyan College. The match is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Health and Physical Education Complex.
