FVSU Men’s Basketball Aims to Reverse Trend at Clark Atlanta

ATLANTA, Ga. – Saturday afternoon, the Wildcats aim to reverse a trend in Epps Gym. Fort Valley State men's basketball looks to snap a tough stretch at Clark Atlanta in the return in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference East Division opener.

Tip-off - 4 p.m.
Location – L.S. Epps Gymnasium, Atlanta, Ga.

FVSU (3-11/1-4 SIAC East) led for 39 minutes and 20 seconds last Saturday only to see Kentucky State complete its comeback and take the contest, 75-72. CAU (6-9/6-1 SIAC East) extended its five-game win streak with a 69-62 score also at Kentucky State on Monday evening.

The Wildcats climb up the East Division begins Saturday against the current top team in the Panthers. FVSU has come up short in its last four trips to play in Epps Gym – the last win coming on Jan. 20, 2014 in an 81-74 win.

The Panthers take their five-game win streak and four victories in a row in the series with the Wildcats. CAU posted an 85-68 win last Jan. 21, before it pulled out a 71-61 final in Fort Valley (Feb. 2). The last FVSU win in the series came in Fort Valley, 85-79 in overtime, on Feb. 9, 2017.
