FORT VALLEY, Ga. – After recording the most wins in five seasons last fall, the new crop of Wildcats are set to come to 'The Valley' in six short months. Fort Valley State football welcomes 34 new Wildcats as part of the 2020 recruiting class announced on Monday.
 
Upon stepping foot on campus eight weeks ago, new FVSU head football coach Maurice Flowers and his new staff have been tirelessly working on bringing in the best new blood to the program and they feel an impressive group will join the returning talented roster in the fall.

"I couldn't be happier with the group we have signed. They possess elite talent athletically, strong character and are fantastic in the classroom. Those three things contribute to coming in and fitting in to the strong foundation we already have here and to help us go toward winning a SIAC (Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Championship," stated Flowers.
 
Flowers inaugural FVSU recruiting class stands at 34. As is the case in the NCAA Division II ranks, the new Wildcats head coach and his staff are not done in searching for the best possible players still available in the region.
 
The current Wildcats started their spring practice season this morning and their offseason workouts will continue until culminating in the Blue & Gold Spring Game on March 28 in Wildcat Stadium.
