The Wildcats (10-10/6-5 SIAC East) takes their two-game win streak into the Tigers' HRC Arena this evening. FVSU comes off two successful roads trips to Albany State (75-67) and Paine College (68-58) the past two Saturdays.

FVSU, though, has its sights set on ending a six-game skid at Benedict and 12-game run overall against its SIAC foe. The last Wildcats victory on the Tigers' home court came eight years ago on Jan. 14, 2012 by a 95-49 final. FVSU's last win overall was two years prior on Jan. 20 of 2014 in a 65-58 final score.

Benedict (19-2/10-1 SIAC East) takes the Conference's longest winning streak of 14 games into the matchup. The Tigers made the Golden Rams of Albany State their latest victim on Saturday afternoon by a 72-63 total. Benedict is only two points away from a perfect season with two November losses by one point apiece – vs. Newberry (Nov. 12) 60-59 and vs. Miles (Nov. 30) 62-61.

Players Note:
Wildcats senior Nola Carter joined teammate Alicia Franklin in the 1,000-career point club on Saturday at Paine College. Carter ended with a team-high 19 points in the game and enters Monday night with 1,016 career points.

FVSU and Benedict College will meet in Fort Valley this Saturday, Feb. 8, to complete the two-game series in six days.
