Wildcats Seek to Add Another Win, Face Tigers Monday

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats are on the verge of truly reversing their mid-season struggles. Fort Valley State seeks to add another men's basketball victory as it faces Benedict College on the road Monday night.

The Wildcats (5-15/3-8 SIAC East) posted back-to-back wins for the first time this season the last two Saturdays starting at Albany State (Jan. 25) by a 72-64 count, before they prevailed last weekend (Feb. 1) at Paine College, 75-73.
 
With the last two games success, FVSU tries this evening for its first three-game win streak since taking three in a row from Nov. 25-30, 2017 with the final game of the short run being a 68-67 victory over Benedict College in Fort Valley.
 
FVSU claimed both ends of the season series a year ago with a Jan. 28 win in Fort Valley (80-71) and followed with a 90-73 decision in Columbia on Feb. 11.
 
The Tigers (9-12/5-6 SIAC East) head into the matchup coming off an 83-70 Saturday win over Clark Atlanta. Benedict is 4-5 in its first nine games of 2020.
 
FVSU and Benedict College will meet in Fort Valley this Saturday, Feb. 8, to complete the two-game series in six days.
