FVSU (13-13/9-8 SIAC East) looks for its most wins in six years with a successful Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcats have not reached 15 wins in a year since the 2012-13 season. If it is to reach 14 victories, FVSU will have to continue its strong late-season play as it finished 5-3 in the month of February. The Wildcats, though, dropped a tough 59-58 tight contest to Clark Atlanta on Feb. 25 in the season finale.

LeMoyne-Owen (11-14/7-10 SIAC West) placed sixth in the West Division and fell short in its last three regular season contests, including a 64-49 final versus Miles College on Feb. 25.

In the regular season meeting on Dec. 19 in Fort Valley, the Magicians pulled out a 72-68 decision over the Wildcats. Trailing by nine points to open the fourth quarter, LeMoyne-Owen edged ahead, 57-56, in the first 4:22, but FVSU held a 64-63 advantage with just over a minute. Two Magician free throws at 1:03, an ensuing steal and layup gave lead for good.

FVSU leads 12-6 in the series with LeMoyne-Owen. The Magicians, though, have won the last three meetings and six of the last seven. The Wildcats last won on Dec. 3, 2016 by a 77-54 final in Fort Valley after they won the first 11 matchups.

FVSU's last SIAC Tournament win came by an 81-65 final over Miles College in the SIAC Quarterfinals on March 2, 2017.

At the SIAC Tournament:
2019-20
FVSU fell to Spring Hill College in the 1st Round (67-62)
LOC lost to Central State in the Quarterfinals (75-63)
Since 1990-91
FVSU has 8 Tournament titles (1995, 2000, 01, 02, 03, 09, 11, 12) & 4 Runnerup Finishes (1999, 2005, 06, 07)
LOC has not won a title nor were runnersup over that timeframe
