VALDOSTA, Ga. –
Two of the key Wildcats 2021 gridiron success were honored with a second postseason awards. Fort Valley State's Emmanuel Boone and Antonio Golden were selected to the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Super Region Two Football Team Second Team.

The FVSU duo were the only Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honorees of All-Super Region Two, which is conducted and voted up each member school's athletic communications department.

Taking the top All-Super Region Two awards, quarterback Austin Reed of West Florida was voted the Offensive Player of the Year and Bowie State defensive lineman Jonathan Ross was picked as the Defensive Player of the Year.

Anchoring the offensive line, Boone makes his second-straight appearance on the All-Super Region Two Second Team after making the same honor in 2019. The two-time All-SIAC First Team center helped lead the way for the SIAC's top running back Emanuel Wilson and his 119.3-yard per game average this fall.

Following his first selection to the All-SIAC First Team, Golden received his first All-Super Region Two acclaim. The senior defensive end led the SIAC in tackles for loss the first eight weeks and sacks for the majority of the campaign as well. The senior from Midway, Ga., started the season with a monster game with seven tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks and a forced fumble for the Red Tails Classic MVP award in a 30-0 shutout of Tuskegee. He kept it going as one of the top defensive line players. The Wildcat recorded at least one tackle for loss in all but one contest and multiple tackles for loss in six games. The senior also posted multiple sacks twice in a game as he had two against Savannah State to go with 11 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss. On the season, Golden registered 50 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss (1.95 per game, 2nd in SIAC), eight sacks (0.80 per game, 3rd in SIAC), two forced fumbles and seven quarterback hurries.
