Wildcat Stadium New Field Turf Playing Surface Construction Underway

FORT VALLEY, Ga. -- The transformation of the Wildcats home field continues. When Fort Valley State hosts its first football game one day shy of 22 months in the home opener on September 18, Wildcat Stadium will look like a very different place with not only a new track surface, but a new field turf playing surface!

With the base of the new track surface down and leveled, the bulldozers and trucks are hard at work on Tuesday morning digging up the Wildcat Stadium surface and taking truckloads of dirt out of the facility.

The work will continue and is set to be finished for when FVSU hosts Lane College on Saturday afternoon, September 18, for all of Wildcats fans, alumni and students to enjoy and an ESPN+ national online TV audience to take in!
