Wildcats XC Competes in Dual Against Tigers

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Wrapping up the run to the league championship next weekend, the Wildcats had a final tune up Friday afternoon. In a dual meet, Savannah State bested both the Fort Valley State women's and men's cross country squads.

The host Tigers captured the first five women's finishers for a 15-40 shutout finish. The FVSU showed well with Terrell Williams and Pat Murray taking third and fourth, but Savannah State edged a 24-31 team score.

The FVSU cross country teams will now head to the Georgia Premiere Course on the Middle Georgia State campus in Macon, Ga., next Friday morning (Nov. 4) for the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship meet.
