MACON, Ga. – It was a beautiful morning for running on Friday. Fort Valley State raced hard and battled at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships.

The Wildcat men ran to a ninth-place finish and a score of 237 with both Terrell Williams and Patrick Murray in the top 30 runners in 24^th and 29^th. The FVSU women were 13^th and led by Montana Williams in 25^th place.

For the men, Morehouse College bested Benedict College, 31-49, for the title. Benedict was a strong top place in the women with a score of 26 while Albany State and Spring Hill College were second and third at 69 and 72.
