Tornados Prevail over Wildcats Saturday

Box Score JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Wildcats put together a better game in their second outing of the year Saturday morning. Talladega College prevailed over Fort Valley State women's volleyball, 3-0.
 
FVSU (0-2) was unable to pull out the first two close sets, 23-25 and 22-25, before Talladega (4-2) finished the match with a 25-18 set three.
 
Freshman Kaila Copeland recorded a quality showing with five kills and two aces, while Syraih Wint added her own five kills to go with two blocks. Naadira Jones chipped in three kills and three blocks and Destinee Jackson had three kills as well. Laiani McCullough contributed five assists and three aces and Morgan Hebert had 14 assists.
 
FVSU completes the HBCU Classic matches with a 1 p.m. match with Florida Memorial and a 3 p.m. game against Dillard University.
