FVSU Ready for Homecoming Clash with Albany State

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats are ready to be welcomed by a sea of gold clad Wildcats Nation fans Saturday night. Fort Valley State's latest men's basketball edition with rival Albany State is the Homecoming night game on the HPE Arena court.

FVSU (8-10/6-5 SIAC East) seeks a return to the win column against ASU (4-13/4-7 SIAC East) in a series it holds a 5-3 edge in the last four years. The Wildcats dropped its last two contests since it won at Edwards Waters on Jan. 9 (70-63) as ASU has split its last four times it has played.
 
The Golden Rams claimed last season's finale in Albany, 73-64, to snap a Wildcats three-game win streak in the series. FVSU won the last game played in The Valley (Jan. 22, 2022) by a 67-63 final tally.
 
The Wildcats have won the last three meetings in the HPE Arena with the Golden Rams last winning on Feb. 10 of 2018 by a 76-68 final.
 
On Monday night for both rivals last court action, FVSU fell to Benedict College (80-60), while ASU edged out an overtime victory over Allen University, 76-71.
