Wildcats Set to Represent Against Lady Rams for Homecoming

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats are ready to represent the true Blue & Gold Saturday evening. Fort Valley State welcomes rival Albany State to the HPE Arena aiming to hold home court.

FVSU (3-11/3-8 SIAC East) looks to continue its recent success battling its rival on the women's basketball court. The Wildcats have claimed 8 of the past 10 meetings against the Lady Rams (6-11/4-7 SIAC East), including four of last five.
 
ASU did snap a six-game losing streak to FVSU in last year's meeting in the HPE Arena by a 65-55 final. The Wildcats did get their split of last season's series with a 65-62 overtime victory in the regular season finale.
 
Both squads come in on losing streaks. After defeating Miles College (54-44) to open its 2023 part of the schedule on Jan. 4, FVSU has suffered four defeats in a row, including a 62-44 loss on Monday night to Benedict College. ASU is 2-3 after the New Year, but it has dropped its last three contests with a 59-55 loss to Allen University on Monday evening.
