Fedd Powers His Way to Off the Block National Outside Attacker of the Week

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – With a monster match and big weekend, the Wildcats drew some national attention. Fort Valley State men's volleyball freshman Isaiah Fedd powered his way to the Off the Block National Outside Attacker of the Week honor.

Fedd gained FVSU the national attention with his program-record last Friday night performance where he pounded 33 kills with three errors in 55 swings for a .545 hitting percentage in a five-set marathon battle against King University. He also added four assists, two service aces, two blocks and two digs in his performance.

In the three-game weekend, the Opaka, Fla, native totaled 58 kills with 13 errors over 102 attacks for a .441 percentage in 11 sets. He also contributed 12 digs, eight aces, five assists and a pair of blocks.

The 6-3 outside hitter followed his top-of-the line outing with 12 kills, five aces and four digs in a three-set defeat to the University of Mount Olive on Saturday evening. Completing the trio of matches on Sunday, Fedd lined another 13 kills in 21 hits at a .381 clip with six digs in the Wildcats first win of the season over the Tigers of Campbellsville University.

Over his first 19 sets and five collegiate matches, Fedd sits at 92 kills (4.84 kills/set) in 165 attacks for a .400 percentage. He also holds the stats of 27 digs, 13 aces, eight blocks and seven assists.

Fedd and FVSU returns to the court Tuesday night, Jan. 31, in a 6 p.m. matchup against Emmanuel College.
