SIAC Announces The Return Of The 2023 Cricket SIAC Cross Country Championship

ATLANTA, GA - The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) is thrilled to announce the return of the 2023 Cricket SIAC Cross Country Championship! This prestigious event will commence on Friday, October 20, promising an electrifying showcase of talent, grit, and determination as 14 SIAC teams compete in Macon, Georgia, at Middle Georgia State University's illustrious Georgia Premier Cross Country Course.

Championship action will commence at 9 a.m. with the 2023 Cricket SIAC Women's Cross Country Championship 5K, followed by the 2023 Cricket SIAC Men's Cross Country Championship 8K at 10 a.m.

2022 CRICKET SIAC CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
During the 2022 Cricket SIAC Men's Cross Country Championship, the Maroon Tigers etched their name in history with their 25th championship victory as they finished strong with a team score of 31 points. Guided by the esteemed head coach Willie H. Hill, 2022 Cricket SIAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year, all seven Maroon Tigers showcased their prowess by securing spots in the top 20, with five student-athletes earning places within the Top 10.

Benedict College soared to victory in the 2022 Cricket SIAC Women's Cross Country Championship, amassing a commanding team score of 26 points, capturing their first title since 2014. Under the expert guidance of former head coach Frank Hyland, the 2022 Cricket SIAC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year, six out of seven Tigers delivered outstanding performances, landing them comfortably within the Top 20, with four student-athletes staking their claim in the Top 10.
