FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats finished the regular season the way they wanted with their first four-game win streak. Fort Valley State controlled the Tuesday night men's basketball action and posted a convincing victory, 62-43, over Savannah State.

FVSU built a lead of as many as 13 points, 29-16, with 3:16 before the half. The Wildcats separated from the visiting Tigers (15-10/13-8 SIAC East) for good midway through the second half via a 7-0 spurt and an overall 19-7 run over an eight-minute span for a 17-point margin, 58-41. In fact, after a Tyler Pendergrass offensive putback with 1:44 left gave the largest lead of the night with the final points.
