Wildcats’ Martin Receives SIAC Men’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Wildcats big guy in the middle picked up his second league honor today. Fort Valley State's Tavaiian Martin received the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

Martin from Orangeburg, S.C., manned the middle to a tune of five blocks to go with nine kills with one error in 14 total attacks for a .571 hit percentage and three aces in the 3-0 win over Morehouse College.

Martin and the Wildcats return to action tonight (April 6) in a 6 p.m. match against Central State in the HPE Arena.
