MOBILE, Ala. – Fort Valley State University Women's Volleyball brought home two All-Conference honors as announced by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Dakotah Holmes earned a spot on the All-SIAC First Team as an Outside Hitter, while
Imani Stokes was selected to the All-SIAC Second Team as a Middle Blocker.
Holmes put together a standout season for the Wildcats. She powered the offense with 228 kills (3.45 per set) and a .238 hitting percentage. Defensively, she totaled 21 blocks (17 assists, four solo) and added 155 digs (2.35 per set) along with 16 service aces. Her all-around impact resulted in 256.5 total points (3.89 per set). In the SIAC, Holmes ranks in the top five in kills and top 10 in points, and she recorded top-10 match performances in total kills, kills in a three-set match, and kills in a five-set match.
Stokes was dominant at the net all season. She posted 64 total blocks (1.07 per set) with 46 block assists and 18 solo blocks. Offensively, she added 135 kills (2.25 per set) while hitting .278, finishing with 176 points (2.93 per set). Stokes leads the SIAC in total blocks and ranks in the top 10 in hitting percentage. She also notched top-10 match performances in total blocks, blocks in multiple three-set matches, hitting percentage in a four-set match (twice), blocks in a four-set match (twice), and blocks in a five-set match (twice).
Fort Valley State opens the 2025 SIAC Tournament against No. 4 West seed Miles College at Spring Hill College. First serve is set for 1 p.m. CT / 2 p.m. ET.
