MOBILE, Ala.- Fort Valley State University Women's Volleyball Head Coach
Tymesia Miller has been named the 2025 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, as announced Wednesday afternoon.
This honor marks FVSU's first SIAC Coach of the Year award in more than 20 years. This is not only Coach Miller's first season at the helm for FVSU, but her first season at the helm of a collegiate program.
Under Coach Miller's leadership, the Wildcats have delivered their best season since 2000. FVSU enters the postseason at 23-4 overall and 17-2 in conference play, tallying 1,000 total points (16.12 per set), 806 kills, and a .208 team hitting percentage. Defensively, the Wildcats surpassed the 1,000-dig milestone (14.84 per set) and totaled 142 blocks (2.09 per set).
Fort Valley State opens the 2025 SIAC Tournament against No. 4 West seed Miles College at Spring Hill College. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT / 2 p.m. ET.
