ATLANTA, Ga. – The Wildcats director and finisher were recognized Tuesday. Fort Valley State's Isaiah Fedd and Oshane Farquharson grabbed Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's volleyball Player and Setter of the Week.
The two Wildcat leaders helped FVSU (5-8) to a 1-1 week in a road defeat at No. 18 Lincoln Memorial and a 3-0 sweep over Benedict College in the SIAC opener Sunday afternoon.
For the third time this season, Fedd takes the award after he downed 17 kills to go with six aces, four digs, three block assists and two assists. Farquharson added 21 assists, four kills, eight digs and a block.
Against Benedict College, Fedd pounded eight kills with one error in 11 attacks for a .636 percentage to go with six aces, two digs, a block assist and one assist. Farquharson dished out 10 assists along with three aces, four digs, two kills and a block assist.
The Wildcat duo will lead the team on the second game of the season series Thursday evening, Feb. 27, in a 6 p.m. match at Benedict College.
