WILBERFORCE, OH- Fort Valley State University men's basketball concluded the 2024-25 season with a 78-71 loss in the first round of the SIAC Tournament to Central State University.
The Wildcats scored 28 points in the first half but behind the Marauders 37-28 going into halftime. Despite the 43 point second half, FVSU fell to CSU 78-71.
Sayerr Senghore led the Fort Valley offense with a 29-point showing stemming from an 11-for-13 day from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Senghore also tallied 10 rebounds good for a double-double.
Hassane Diallo also nabbed a double-double as the second leading scorer with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Antonio Puaauli-Pelham rounded out the leading scorers with 10 points.
For the opposition, Pryor Ramar led the offense with 22 points. Brandon Scott and Raevon Thomas had the most rebounds with 10 each.
