ATLANTA, Ga.- The Southern Inercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced the All-Conference list with Fort Valley State University men's track & field earning two honors.
Joshua Pearson and
Solomon Hall were both named All-SIAC Second Team.
Pearson earned All-Conference honors for his standout season in the hammer throw. He opened the year with a 39.47m mark at the River City Relays, followed by a 38.21m performance at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Classic. Pearson recorded his season best of 44.05m at the Emory Spring Break Classic, then continued his strong form with a 43.76m throw at the Davidson Relays. He capped off the regular season with a 39.87m toss at the Alice Coachman Invitational.
Hall received All-Conference recognition for his impressive campaign in the shot put. He began the season at the JD Evilsizer Invitational with a 13.80m throw, then claimed first place at the River City Relays with a 13.76m mark. Hall followed that with a 13.52m performance at the Emory Spring Break Classic and improved to 13.97m at the Davidson Relays. He notched a season-best 14.66m at the University of West Georgia Legends Invitational before closing the regular season with a 13.25m mark at the Alice Coachman Invitational.
The SIAC Track & Field Championships will start on Wednesday, April 23.
