ATLANTA, Ga. – Fort Valley State University Women's Volleyball outside hitter Dakotah Holmes has been named to the 2025 Preseason All-SIAC Second Team, as announced by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Holmes enters her sophomore season as the Wildcats' top offensive returner after an impressive freshman campaign. She recorded over 200 kills, averaging 2.46 per set, and totaled 232 points, averaging 2.83 per set.

Defensively, the Hampton, Ga., native added 222 digs and 22 blocks, proving to be a well-rounded contributor on both sides of the ball.

The Wildcats have been picked to finish third in the SIAC East Division following a 2024 season where they went 15-8 overall and 12-7 in conference play. FVSU advanced to the SIAC Tournament semifinals, defeating Lane College 3-1 in the quarterfinals before falling to No. 1 East seed Albany State University in straight sets.

FVSU begins the 2025 campaign on August 30 with an exhibition tri-match against Toccoa Falls College and Trinity Baptist College in Toccoa Falls, Ga., starting at 1:00 p.m.
