FORT VALLEY, Ga- The bats came alive late as Fort Valley State University pulled away for a commanding 10–1 advantage over Benedict College on February 22 in Fort Valley.
Fort Valley State set the tone early, plating the game's first run in the opening inning before erupting offensively in the middle frames. After adding a run in the fourth, the Wildcats delivered the decisive blow with back-to-back four-run innings in the fifth and sixth.
