SIAC Honors Highlight Historic Season for Men's Volleyball

FORT VALLEY, Ga. —The Fort Valley State men's volleyball program earned wide recognition from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) following the 2026 season, headlined by Isaiah Fedd being named SIAC Player of the Year and Head Coach Larry Wrather earning SIAC Coach of the Year honors. In total, seven players were recognized across the All‑Conference teams, underscoring the program's depth, balance, and competitive growth.

Player of the Year & First Team All‑SIAC
Isaiah Fedd capped off a standout season by earning SIAC Player of the Year honors while also being named to the First Team All‑Conference. The outside hitter served as the primary offensive engine, finishing the season with 341.5 total points while averaging 4.16 points per set. Fedd recorded 294 kills (3.59 kills per set) on 588 attack attempts, posting a strong .279 hitting percentage against conference competition. His all‑around impact extended beyond attacking, as he added 29 service aces and 23 assists, making him one of the most complete attackers in the SIAC.
Joining Fedd on the First Team All‑SIAC was fellow outside hitter Jamari Griffin, who delivered consistent offensive output throughout the season. Griffin totaled 163.0 points, averaging 2.20 points per set, and produced 132 kills (1.78 per set) with a .223 attack percentage. A reliable six‑rotation presence, Griffin also contributed from the service line with 15 aces and added 18 assists, providing stability and balance on the pin.
Taviian Martin rounded out the program's First Team selections as a middle hitter. Martin finished the season with 205.0 points and 139 kills, averaging 1.48 kills per set while posting a .222 hitting percentage. His quick‑tempo offense and ability to score efficiently in the middle added a crucial dimension to the attack, while his presence at the net helped dictate matchups offensively.

Second Team All‑SIAC Honorees
Keaton Long earned Second Team All‑Conference recognition after totaling 65.5 points in eight starts, averaging 2.34 points per set. The middle hitter recorded 48 kills (1.71 per set) and added value at the service line with 10 aces, giving the team consistent production when in the lineup.
Muhammad Mbaye also garnered Second Team All‑SIAC honors following an efficient offensive season. Mbaye finished with 76.0 total points, averaging 2.62 points per set, and posted 57 kills on just 90 attempts, resulting in an impressive .544 hitting percentage, one of the most efficient marks on the team.
Constantine Ononye rounded out the second‑team selections, providing key contributions defensively and in match control situations. His efficiency at the net and disciplined play factored into the team's ability to manage sets and execute system offense throughout the season.

Freshman of the Year & Second Team All‑SIAC
Logan Rogers was honored as the SIAC Freshman of the Year while also earning Second Team All‑Conference recognition. The first‑year setter quickly established himself as a cornerstone of the offense, finishing the season with 196 assists and averaging an impressive 7.00 assists per set. Rogers added 52.0 points, including 23 kills, and contributed 20 service aces, showcasing his ability to impact matches beyond distribution.

Coach of the Year
Guiding the program's historic season, Head Coach Larry Wrather was named SIAC Coach of the Year. Under his leadership, the team earned multiple postseason honors and placed seven players on the All‑Conference teams, reflecting the program's growth, discipline, and competitive consistency throughout the year.
