Wildcats Sweep Edward Waters in Dominant SIAC Showing

Jacksonville, Fla. — Fort Valley State delivered a commanding performance on the road, sweeping Edward Waters in straight sets (25–21, 26–24, 25–13) to continue its strong run in conference play.

The Wildcats showcased balance, efficiency, and timely execution throughout the match, pulling away late in each of the first two sets before dominating the third to seal the victory.

Fort Valley State set the tone early in the opening set, using consistent offensive pressure to secure a 25–21 win. The second set proved to be the most competitive of the night, with both teams trading points down the stretch. The Wildcats remained poised in key moments, edging out a 26–24 decision to take full control of the match.

In the third set, the Wildcats left no doubt, overwhelming Edward Waters with a decisive 25–13 performance behind sharp attacking and disciplined defense.

Leading the offensive charge, Isaiah Fedd recorded a team-high 10 kills, while Jamari Griffin added 9 kills with an efficient hitting performance. Muhammad Mbaye provided a major spark, finishing with 6 kills on a blistering .750 hitting percentage, all with the guidance and 18 assists from setter Logan Rogers. Taviian Martin also contributed with five blocks, helping to maintain the offensive lead.

As a team, the Wildcats displayed strong chemistry and execution, capitalizing on scoring runs and minimizing errors in crucial moments.

With the win, Fort Valley continues to build momentum as they face Edward Waters at home on Saturday, April 11 at 3 p.m.
