ALBANY, Ga. — The Fort Valley State University women's volleyball team is set to return to action this weekend as the Wildcats travel to Albany State University for the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Crossover, where they will face four opponents from the conference's West Division.
The Wildcats open the crossover slate on Friday, September 18, beginning with a 9 a.m. matchup against Lane College. Fort Valley State will then return to the court at 2 p.m. to take on LeMoyne-Owen College, giving the Wildcats two opportunities to make an early statement in conference play.
FVSU will close out the crossover on Saturday, September 19, with another doubleheader. The Wildcats will begin the day at 8 a.m. against Tuskegee University before wrapping up the weekend with a 4:30 p.m. matchup against Kentucky State University.
The SIAC Crossover provides Fort Valley State with a chance to compete against teams from the West Division while continuing to build momentum as the conference portion of the season gets underway.
With four matches packed into two days, the Wildcats will look to rely on strong team chemistry, disciplined play, and contributions from throughout the lineup as they battle through a competitive weekend in Albany.
